Smart working, 44% work more than the contract hours and 56% have not lost benefits

by admin

44% say that in smart working they have worked more hours than those provided for in the contract and 56% assure that agile work has not led to the loss of benefits such as good meals. Lights and shadows of working from home are black and white in a survey just released by the Fim Cisl which took into consideration 4,862 questionnaires administered to workers mostly with the qualification of clerks and not members of the union.

Working hours

The CISL surveyed workers on smart working hours. Here are the answers: 54% of the sample maintains that at home they kept the same hours practiced in the company, while 38% said they had more flexibility, but respecting the start and end times; 9% finally decided to decide independently when to work. As for the hours stipulated in the contract, 39% worked from home the same hours governed by their contract, 44% happened to work more hours, 15% happened to work many more hours than those stipulated in the contract (plus than 10 in a week) and 2% fewer hours.

Disconnection and technological tools

Another issue related to working from home: the right to disconnect. The CISL wanted to probe if the workers know him and if the companies have informed their employees about it. In 61% of cases the workers replied that the company did not implement any measures nor did it inform them of the existence of this right; 32%, on the other hand, say that the company has limited itself to remembering that the right exists and that the worker is not required to reply to emails. As for the technological tools necessary to carry out smart working, almost all (86%) respond that they were provided by the company. Only 14% use personal tools.

Control and benefit software

Has the company installed worker control tools and software? 39% of the sample answered yes and said they were informed; 50% believe so, but claim not to have received any information about it; 31% say no. The survey on benefits is also interesting, with an audience split in half between a 56% of workers who respond that they have not lost anything compared to the phase in which they worked from the office and a 41% who say they have lost the pasta / canteen voucher.

Rating and personal satisfaction

How much has smart working been appreciated? A lot, according to the CIS analysis. The overwhelming majority of respondents assign a vote to agile work ranging from 8 to 10. And to the answer on what the impact of smart working has been on their personal life and on their work, 17% respond that this way of working it was “a source of pleasure”; 21% said it contributed to “greater concentration”, 14% said it represented an opportunity to spend more time with their children. It goes without saying that the overwhelming majority respond in the affirmative to the question of whether they would like to continue smart working in the future. Important answers for planning the organization of work for the coming months.
