BELLUNO. The decision came in the evening. Schools closed on Thursday throughout the Alpago, from kindergarten to elementary school to middle school. The mayor of Alpago Alberto Peterle coordinated with his colleagues from Chies and Tambre and everyone decided that the children will not enter the classroom. “Another twenty centimeters of snow are expected and we cannot guarantee the cleanliness of all the aprons,” explains Peterle. «Overall we will have 50 cm of snow on our territory, a snowfall that has not been seen since 1985».

Punctually, as per the weather forecast, the snow began to fall throughout the Valbelluna and in the mountains around lunchtime. At 17.30 the mantle had already reached 20 centimeters in the capital. The snow clearing vehicles are ready and operational in all the municipalities of the province.

All the roads managed by Veneto Strade in the province are passable, with the exception of provincial 33 of Sauris which is closed in winter. Forecasts say it will snow again in the night. For this reason, with the fear that the internal roads to the buffer centers are not passable, the Ulss has decided to suspend the drive-in service of Feltre, Paludi, Agordo and Tai, with the possibility of reactivating Paludi from 1pm to 7pm. to at least partially guarantee the surveillance buffers. Swabs not performed tomorrow morning in Feltre will be “recovered” the next day. Swabs not performed in Tai and Agordo will be recovered on Saturday.

Ulss Dolomiti will endeavor to keep the Paludi afternoon swab drive active from 13.00 to 19.00 in order to guarantee at least part of the surveillance swabs.

BLOCKED IN CANSIGLIO
