On May 6th, at the 326th press conference on the prevention and control of the new coronavirus pneumonia in Beijing, Pang Xinghuo, deputy director of the Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention and member of the national expert group on new coronavirus pneumonia, introduced that on May 6th At 15:00, Beijing added 16 new cases of local new coronary pneumonia virus infection. Since the press conference on May 5 (from 15:00 on May 5 to 15:00 on May 6), 66 new cases of local new coronary pneumonia virus infections (683 to 748 infected) have been added, including 31 in Chaoyang District and 20 in Fangshan District. There are 5 cases in Haidian District, 3 cases in Tongzhou District, 2 cases each in Changping District, Fengtai District and Daxing District, and 1 case in Dongcheng District; 5 cases of common type, 48 cases of mild type, and 13 cases of asymptomatic infection; 64 cases of control personnel, 2 cases were screened in the community. All have been transferred to designated hospitals for isolation and treatment, and relevant risk points and personnel have been controlled and placed.

The infected people reported today are mainly from three clustered outbreaks:

First, there was a cluster of employees in Qingshuiting Hubei Cuisine (Guomao Mall Store) in Chaoyang District, with 8 new cases and a total of 17 cases;

The second is a cluster of employees in the Hongyan Vegetable Market in Shibailidian Township, Chaoyang District, with 10 new cases and a total of 21 cases;

The third is the clustered epidemic in Dazicaowu Village, Yancun Town, Fangshan District, with 7 new cases and a total of 15 cases.

The newly infected people are all from management and control personnel. The infected people involved in the first two clustered outbreaks were living in the same relationship. Due to the high density of residents in the dormitory, there were many cases of infection among co-residents.

I would like to remind Beijing citizens and friends to wear masks properly when they are quarantined at home, minimize contact between family members or co-living members, pay attention to hand hygiene, and take measures such as environmental disinfection and room ventilation.

As of 24:00 on May 5, 2022, a total of 7 local confirmed cases have been reported in Nongguangli Community, Jinsong Street, Chaoyang District in the past 14 days. According to the assessment by the Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention, according to the “Beijing New Coronary Pneumonia Epidemic Risk Classification Standard”, the Nongguangli Community of Jinsong Street, Chaoyang District will be upgraded from a medium-risk area to a high-risk area from now on. Up to now, there are 18 high-risk areas and 30 medium-risk areas in Beijing.Return to Sohu, see more
