Original title: Some areas of Xinxiang, Henan Province, where rainfall has weakened, began dredging and killing

From 8 o’clock on July 22 to 7 o’clock on the 23rd, heavy to heavy rain and local heavy rain occurred in the north central part of Xinxiang, Henan, with a maximum precipitation of 115 mm. As the rainfall gradually weakened, the accumulation of water in many previously flooded areas began to recede. The local area is now organizing forces to step up efforts to remove stagnant water while carrying out related work such as dredging and eliminating silt.

Headquarters reporter Xu Zhihao:This morning (July 23), the weather in Xinxiang is still raining continuously, but from yesterday afternoon to this morning, the rainfall in Xinxiang City has been significantly weaker than before.

In Xinxiang Maternity and Child Health Hospital, the water that reached the knees when the lobby was deepest on the first floor is now disappearing. Hospital staff are urgently cleaning up the entire first floor lobby, and then will conduct a comprehensive disinfection and sterilization work here. According to the doctor, after these tasks are completed, patients and equipment that were previously transferred to other floors will be gradually transferred back.

The reporter learned from the Xinxiang City Meteorological Department that it is expected that from day to night today, Xinxiang City will be cloudy with showers and thunderstorms, and there will be moderate to heavy rains in the western part, but the rainfall is still weaker than the previous few days. I hope that this round of rainfall can end as soon as possible.
