When media giant Virgin produced the film Orwell 1984 he decided the soundtrack had to be very pop, so he asked the Eurythmics. But director Michael Radford wanted orchestral music, which had already been commissioned from Dominic Muldowney and composed a few months before editing. A long one started from here quarrel legal. The result is that the viewers of the film listen to different music depending on the year, the country and the medium on which they see it. The duo of Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart, however, had a good success with the work: the single Sexcrime (Nineteen eighty-four), #canzonedelgiorno, ranks well on many charts.
