The Taulà dei bos and the refreshments at step for Sunday lunch breathe a sigh of relief: the laying of the bailey will not compromise their work
CIBIANA. Threatened danger of closure, Sunday at lunch, for the Taulà dei bos, the characteristic restaurant in the center of the town, and for the refreshment points at the pass. Federico Vicentini, the manager, was afraid of having to give up the numerous bookings due to the closure of the Sp347; instead VenetoStrade reassured the mayor Mattia Gosetti that the construction site for the laying of the bailey bridge will be completed on Sunday morning, by 12 noon.
“It would have been a single blow,” admits Vicentini, who makes the guests sit on the terraces of the Taulà, in front of a splendid panorama, looming over the Sassolungo di Cibiana. On Sunday there was an invasion of guests; many of which, however, then decided to take off because the restaurant’s kitchen could be organized in three shifts, for about thirty seats at a time.
«Late spring and summer are promising», Vicentini anticipates, «we hope that the two months of construction on the bridge do not compromise this restart. The risk is for supplies: they will not be able to get on the trucks with greater capacity ».
The other access is from Longarone, along the sr 251. The order for the total closure of the provincial road 247 starts at 1 pm on Friday, but the reopening will be brought forward to 12 noon on Sunday. On Friday and Saturday, alternating one-way traffic will still be allowed, regulated by a traffic light system and for cars only, from 7 pm to 6 am. Attention, however, the closure will continue on 16 and 17 May, with the authorization to alternate one-way from 1pm on 16 to 6pm on 17. Obviously, the transit of light rescue vehicles will be guaranteed.
The rather demanding construction site will consist in the installation of a bailey bridge, replacing the historic one, under renovation, which will therefore be closed.
“We thank Veneto Strade which, following numerous talks with the Municipalities of Cibiana and Valle, has proposed an acceptable solution to deal with the closure that otherwise would have occupied the road for over two months”, said Mayor Gosetti, adding that the work is essential for the connection of his country with Cadore. It was decided to activate the construction site over the weekend to avoid heavy inconvenience also to the key factory, Errebi, which also welcomes collaborators from outside the country.
