It will be held on 22 October (at 8.30 pm in the gymnasium of the Votive Church); it was organized by the Sant’Antonino Vive committee, and will see the collaboration of Legambiente and the other association that has been fighting for years against the Terraglio Est, Safeguarding the Environment of Treviso and Casier. Roberto Rasera, president of the association, Chiara Mazzoleni, teachers of urban planning at the Iuav, Stefano Dall’Agata, vice president of Legambiente Treviso, and Paolo Brambilla, administrative lawyer who is following the Candiani family, owner of the homonymous villa, will sit at the table. whose park will be lapped by the East Terraglio.
“We hope that citizens of both neighborhoods will come to the assembly, because our action at the TAR will start from there to stop this project,” says Annalisa Milani, of the Sant’Antonino Vive association. According to what is learned, it will be Legambiente to formalize the appeal, acting as a container for the neighborhood associations and citizens who want to join the action. This would be the second proceeding against the new road, after the appeal lodged against the first project by the Immoarea company, which then renewed its interest last May on the basis of the changes to the route. «The assembly will serve to provide all interested parties with a different narrative than that provided by the Municipalities of Treviso, Casier and Veneto Strade. We have been saying for some time that it is an old work, which will cost a lot and will not bring benefits to the territory, indeed. The appeal
The game that the committees will play is far from easy to win. The TAR evaluates the administrative procedure without going into the analysis and contents of the work, therefore the evaluations that have been carried out in recent months will be almost useless. Even the observations on the incompleteness of the traffic analyzes did not have the effects that the committees would have liked in the Provincial Road Commission, which instead approved the project unanimously. Now there is only the definitive authorization from the conference of services, then the process will continue with the executive design, the contract and the opening of the construction site.
The Region and the Municipality of Treviso hope to see the construction site operational between the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023. At least that, and this is what the committees trust, it is not the administrative justice that gets in the way by putting itself sideways or extending a dispute that has been open in Sant’Antonino for over ten years.
