Summer at the Forte di Bard between concerts, conferences and Napoleonica

Between July and September 2021 the fortress will host eleven entertainment, music and culture events

Eleven events of music, entertainment and entertainment will enliven the summer of 2021 at the Forte di Bard. The review of events will start on July 4th and will continue with performances, concerts and conferences for adults, families and children until September.

“The calendar of Estate al Forte 2021 – says the president of the Forte di Bard – embodies the desire to restart and offer our public a schedule of events that offers opportunities for recreation and reflection”.

Among the most anticipated appointments, the songwriter’s concert Alice (August 22) which will pay homage to the Master Franco Battiato and, directly from the Sanremo Festival, the Extraliscio, on August 14, with their tour “It’s nice to get lost”.

Two concerts included in the Kalendamaya International Festival of Ancient Culture and Music: July 24 with the Vocal Ensemble Artù and on 4 September with theBadinage set.

Other musical events will be held on July 15, at 5.00 pm, with the performance of the Fanfare of the Taurinense Alpine Brigade promoted in collaboration with the Alpine Training Center of the Italian Army and, July 17, with the concert of the wind orchestra Arsnova directed by Fulvio Hollow.

The review also offers three appointments with famous names: Antonio Manzini Sunday 8 August, at 9.00 pm, he will present “Old knowledge”, the tenth survey by Rocco Schiavone; Thursday 12 August, at 6 pm, meeting with the historian and philologist Luciano Canfora who will speak on the topic Julius Caesar and other democratic dictators; Friday 13 August, at 9 pm, the psychiatrist Paolo Crepet will present his latest book “Beyond the storm, how we will return to be together”.

In the summer the Fort will not fail Napoleonic, now in its sixth edition. The re-enactment of the passage of Napoleon Bonaparte with his troops in Bard, which took place in May 1800 during the Second Italian Campaign, will be staged between 30 July and 1 August.

The educational workshops to discover the Fort and its history and the Harry Potter-themed “Cup of Houses” treasure hunt on Sunday 4th July are dedicated to children.

The events are subject to a fee with reservations required also through the Forte di Bard website. Tickets will go on sale from 10 am on Monday 28 June.
