TREVISO. «First the great success of the concerts at the racecourse, now Suoni di Marca is back on the walls and, from 2022, the concerts of Zed at the ex Customs: Treviso is the city of music». This is the comment of the mayor Mario Conte before the start of the new adventure of Suoni di Marca: the 31st edition of the Treviso summer music festival kicks off tomorrow. After the 2020 parenthesis in the park of Villa Margherita due to Covid and the uncertainties of the last period (Green pass and questions on safety in the first place), he returns to his historic home, namely the Bastioni di San Marco on the walls. Until 7 August great music but with very clear boundaries: 800 seats in front of the stage all seated and admission allowed from 8 pm; while for the stands and the exhibition market approximately 5 thousand people will be “contained” in an area of 2,500 square meters (accessible from 6 pm onwards).
Other numbers: 1,500 seats in the thirteen restaurants of the “Path of taste” of the walls, and distinct accesses between the concert area (from Porta Santi Quaranta with reservations required on Ticketone) and the stand area, with entrance with a contribution of 2 euros (from Porta Caccianiga).
Movement chapter: those entering the concert area can also move freely to the other side of Suoni to buy food and drinks (with a special bracelet); while those who will stop only at the restaurant will be able to enjoy the music from the loudspeakers. In the area, temperature measurement at the entrance and the obligation to wear a mask until arriving at your seat. The new municipal ordinance is also active (resuming the contents of the previous one dated 2019 and requested by the police headquarters to the technical safety committee) which prohibits, in the festival area, the sale of bottled drinks, glasses or glass cans from tomorrow until Sunday 8 August in the on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (from 4pm to 2am) and on Saturdays and Sundays (from 12pm to 2am).
During the same hours, not only the sale, but also the consumption of alcohol in glass bottles and containers will be prohibited; Merchants selling drinks in plastic bottles will have to remove the caps before serving. Among the stands there is also an information point for awareness and prevention against addictions, coordinated by Ulss 2 in collaboration with the Department of Youth Policies; furthermore, the possibility of free swabs at vaccination centers and Covid points remains 48 hours before accessing the area.
Parking will be guaranteed for people with disabilities (between Borgo Cavour and viale d’Alviano and via Caccianiga). The stalls to approach the area are located in the Appiani area and via Lancieri di Novara up to the former skating rink and piazzale Burchiellati. Finally, on the traffic front, no vehicular transit is allowed during the event and access allowed only to authorized persons in Viale D’Alviano; for vehicles coming from Borgo Cavour it is only allowed up to via Filzi (with obligation to turn left) and from via Mura San Teonisto up to via Chiesa (obligation to turn right).
