The fans of SV Elversberg can look forward to a real highlight early on in the first second division season in the club’s history. The German Football League announced the exact schedule for matchdays three to ten on Wednesday.
After the start on July 29 at Hannover 96 (1 p.m.) and the first home game against Hansa Rostock on Saturday; August 5th, at 1 p.m., an explosive encounter awaits coach Horst Steffen’s team on the third day of the game.
Top game at FC Kaiserslautern increases on Friday evening
The duel between the SVE and the Rhineland-Palatinate league rivals from Kaiserslautern will kick off on Friday, August 18 at 6.30 p.m. On August 26th (1 p.m.) Fortuna Düsseldorf will be guests for what is presumably the first real home game of SVE at the Kaiserlinde. The game against Rostock still has to take place in Saarbrücken’s Ludwigspark due to construction work on the Elversberg stadium. It continues on match day five (Sunday, September 3, 1.30 p.m.) with a guest appearance at VfL Osnabrück.
Home game against Hamburger SV on a Saturday
The Elversbergers will receive promotion aspirants Hamburger SV on the following matchday (Saturday, September 16, 1 p.m.). On the seventh day of the game, SVE will face fellow promoted team SV Wehen-Wiesbaden (Saturday, September 23, 1 p.m.).
