Military radio, Syrian missile flies over Israel, exploded on the sea

(ANSAmed) – TEL AVIV, SEPTEMBER 03 – The Israeli air force attacked installations used by pro-Iranian forces near Damascus last night. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported from London that the targets targeted are in the localities of Barzeh and Jamrya. The official Syrian news agency Sana later confirmed the attack and stated that Syrian air defenses managed to intercept most of the missiles launched by Israeli aircraft. Israeli military radio added that Syrian anti-aircraft fired a “substantial amount” of missiles, one of which – according to the broadcaster – crossed Israeli airspace and exploded “over the sea”. Other media reported that Tel Avivians heard echoes of explosions. In the area, however, the alarm sirens were not activated. In a comment expressed in general terms, the military radio noted that the Israeli air strikes launched from time to time in Syria are intended to hinder the strengthening of the Iranian military presence and the improvement of missiles destined for the Lebanese Hezbollah.
