Taibon: majority and minority take up shovel and drill to chart the paths

Councilor Fiorangela Beltrame involved colleagues. With the help of the Pro loco consortium, resistant signs were purchased

TAIBON. From Taibon to the Peschiere, now there is no mistake anymore. In recent days, some councilors of the majority and minority of Taibon, coordinated by the colleague with responsibility for tourism, Fiorangela Beltrame, have contributed to realizing the first excerpt of the project for laying the signs along the paths: a dozen poles with various arrows with locations and travel times.

All in line with what has been done in recent years by the associations of the Valle del Biois, because the intent of Taibon is to contribute to the creation of a common sign for the whole Agordino. A project made possible thanks to the financing of the Agordino Pro loco consortium and the stubbornness of Beltrame.

«For some time», says the councilor, «I have cultivated this idea. In my opinion it was and is necessary to accurately report the paths both to enhance it better and to provide hikers with useful information so as not to miss the path and not get lost. In the past, some of our fellow administrators happened to meet people in the San Lucano Valley who, having reached a crossroads, did not know where to go. And a few days ago, before the tables were laid, I happened to see cyclists who had taken the wrong road ».

An initiative that Beltrame had in the drawer, but which needed the economic resources to be implemented. «Alice Ben of the Agordo tourist office», explains Beltrame, «was aware of my intentions and so, when she learned that the Agordo Consortium of the Pro loco had a surplus on a notice dedicated to paths, she told me. We were therefore able to obtain, through the Pro loco di Taibon, a loan of 1,300 euros with which we were able to complete the section of the forest-pastoral that from the square along the Tegnas, where the Sagra de Pasca takes place, reaches the pond of the Peschiere ” .

In recent days, the majority councilors Fabio Tomè and Mauro Savio and the minority councilor Moreno Ben have worked hard to position the poles along the road that runs to the right of Tegnas and to attack the tables made of an expensive but durable material.

“I have a lot of thanks to my colleagues,” says Beltrame. “Over the past few months I have worked hard to ensure that the information we put on the tables were correct. Now I am and we are very satisfied ».

Beltrame’s goal was to follow the path traced by the Ladin Union Val Biois which in recent years has marked the network of paths throughout the Biois Valley.

«Today», Beltrame emphasizes, «tourists do not look at the borders between municipalities. We need to standardize the signage. For this reason, after seeing the work done in Val Biois, I asked Danilo Marmolada for information and I followed their example ».

A job that, however, will not end here. «The intention», concludes the municipal councilor, «is to continue as far as Col di Prà, but in the majority group there is also the desire to report all the valley bottom routes by the end of the mandate. We will have to find the money and also the way to share ideas and the efforts between all the associations in the area. We must be able to dialogue more among the many subjects who work for the good of the community ».G.San.
