Original Title: Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council: The United States and Taiwan have recently stepped up their attempts to provoke and conceal the evil intentions of “Taiwan control China”
The Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council held a regular press conference today (27th).
The U.S. and Taiwan have continued to link up with each other recently. Taiwan media said that the Biden administration is discussing the possibility of early delivery of F-16V fighters with the DPP authorities. At the same time, the Taiwan Army also plans to “reorganize five infantry brigades to strengthen beachside defense capabilities.” In this regard, spokesman Ma Xiaoguang pointed out that behind the recent intensification of the United States and Taiwan’s intensified provocations are the evil intentions of “using Taiwan to control China,” and it is the calculation of “relying on the United States to seek independence.” No matter how they get in touch with each other, it is in vain. Here I want to emphasize four points:
First, the biggest threat to peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait is that the DPP authorities have stepped up their association with external forces and continuously engaged in “Taiwan independence” provocations, including naked trafficking in the “two-state theory”. This is undermining the peace and stability of the Taiwan Strait and raising the situation in the Taiwan Strait. The source of risk. The people of Taiwan are clear.
Second, the United States always wants to make a fuss about the Taiwan issue, find trouble, and constantly challenge China’s core interests, which is a waste of effort. China today is not afraid of suppression by any country. We urge the US to strictly abide by the one-China principle and the three Sino-US joint communiqués, especially the provisions of the “August 17” communiqué, and stop all arms sales to Taiwan.
Third, the DPP authorities will not hesitate to build up high debts to purchase arms, but they can only “blow the whistle and be courageous”. They used the hard-earned money of the Taiwanese people to buy arms from the United States at sky-high prices. Behind these loss-making transactions, it is self-evident that who profited, who filled their pockets, and who harmed their interests.
Fourth, we will never tolerate “Taiwan independence” and will never allow Taiwan to separate from China. No one should underestimate our strong determination, firm will, and strong ability to defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity! If the DPP authorities continue to indulge in the dream of “relying on the United States for independence” and “using force to seek independence,” and dare to take risks, they will surely end in disaster.
