The Bonnie & Clyde of Ivrea again on trial for attempted robbery of Andrate and Donato Biellese

by admin

Post offices, pharmacies, convenience stores: charged with nine hits in nine days. The facts date back to 2018, in action in Andrate, Bollengo, Vico, Salerano, Cascinette

ANDRATE. The Bonnie & Clyde del Canavese are back at the bar: the couple of robbers from Ivrea must answer for the robberies in Andrate and Donato Biellese committed in 2018. These are Maurizio Liporace and Alessandra Corrado, both 39 years old and living in Ivrea, cohabiting (defended by Alessandro Nicola of the forum of Ivrea), on trial for the attempted robbery of the Andrate post office and the robbery of Donato Biellese’s pharmacy in July 2018.

The curriculum of the couple who in the month of July three years ago had run around the Canavese and not just robbing pharmacies, post offices and convenience stores is much broader. For some of these episodes they have already been tried two years ago and sentenced to one year and 8 months (him) and one year and six months (her). The other episodes contested by the Ivrea couple would have been committed in just nine days within a radius of 50 kilometers with a total loot of 5 thousand euros. The two attempted the last shot only a few hours before being arrested at a pharmacy in Bollengo.

The day before, the Andrate post office was targeted. In that case the robbery failed due to the prompt intervention of a postman who accidentally entered the office that had put them on the run by kicking the accused in the ass. On 10 July 2018 they had carried out a robbery against the convenience store in Vico Canavese, looting 400 euros. On the same day, but in the evening, Corrado had entered the pharmacy in San Giorgio Canavese, having the collection of the day delivered, about 700 euros. On 13 July they were responsible for a theft from a home in Salerano. On 18 July the two then robbed the Orlacchino pharmacy in Cascinette di Ivrea. The next day they had again robbed Donato Biellese’s pharmacy (for which they were on trial on Monday at the Ivrea court). After six blows, five of which were scored between Canavese and Biellese, the last robbery of the Beata Getto di Bollengo had been fatal to the two. That day Liporace, armed with a cutter and partially misrepresented with sunglasses and a mask, had threatened the pharmacist to get the day’s income delivered. The woman started screaming and the robber fled. In the car, on the square, waiting for him with the engine running, as always sat his accomplice. An escape that didn’t last long, however, because the carabinieri had set out on their trail. And on July 21 both had the handcuffs released. On Monday the defense lawyer objected on the jurisdiction being one of the facts committed in the province of Biella, but the judge – Dr. Antonella Pelliccia – rejected, confirming the trial in Ivrea which after the first hearing will resume on July 8 with the first testimonies of the witnesses appointed by the prosecution. valerio grosso
