On November 17, the China Weather Network stated that from the 19th to the 22nd, rain, snow, strong winds, and cooling once again affected many parts of mainland China, from Xinjiang, central and western Inner Mongolia, Qinghai, Gansu, Ningxia and other places to the central and eastern regions. From the 21st to the 22nd, during the core cooling period in the central and eastern regions, the cumulative drop in the highest temperature in many places was above 10°C.

In terms of temperature, the impact of this cooling down includes 18 provincial capital cities and municipalities including Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Nanjing, and Harbin, and the cumulative cooling will reach more than 10°C. At the end of November, winter may advance to the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.

Among them, Jinan, Shenyang, Hefei may drop by 14 to 15 degrees Celsius, and the maximum temperature in Northeast China will drop below freezing.

From the 21st to the 22nd, the snowfall in the northeast will gradually increase. Especially on the 22nd, heavy snowfall may occur in Heilongjiang, near Hegang, Jiamusi, Mudanjiang, Jixi, and Shuangyashan. The possibility of heavy snow or even heavy snow cannot be ruled out.

From 22 to 23, Hohhot will drop below minus 15°C for the first time after the winter, Yinchuan will drop below minus 10°C, and Zhengzhou, Hefei, and Nanjing may be the first time after fall below 0°C.

Earlier, from November 5th to 10th, Tongliao City in Inner Mongolia encountered the strongest snowstorm since the local meteorological record, especially the continuous heavy snowstorm on the 7th and 8th. The snowfall lasted about 46 hours, breaking the record since 1951.

According to official statistics, as of 12:00 on November 10, 30,838 people were affected by the snow disaster in Tongliao, one person died, and the direct economic loss was 359.6 million yuan.
