On September 28, 2021, the Consulate General in Davao held an online celebration for the 72nd anniversary of the National Day. Li Lin, the Consul General in Davao, delivered a keynote speech. Consul General Li extended happy holiday wishes to overseas Chinese in the consular area and employees of Chinese-funded institutions. He said that this year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. Under the strong leadership of the Party, we have achieved the first century-old goal and built a well-off society in an all-round way. , We are striving for the second centenary goal of building a powerful modern socialist country in an all-round way. Consul General Li pointed out that in the face of the extremely dangerous new crown pneumonia epidemic, the Consulate-General has been unceasingly advancing the work of fighting the epidemic, pragmatic cooperation and consular services. The first is to focus on the tough battle to fight the epidemic together, focus on supporting the Philippines’ fight against the epidemic, and provide strong support for the Philippines to get rid of the haze of the epidemic as soon as possible. The second is to focus on the difficulties of pragmatic cooperation, fully support the local resumption of work and production, and ensure that the exchanges and cooperation between China and the Philippines are always progressing steadily. The third is based on the protracted battle of consular services, to support the overseas Chinese to fight the epidemic on the spot, and to provide confidence and material support for the overseas Chinese in the overseas Chinese community. Consul General Li also combined with the recent outbreaks in Fujian and Jiangsu to guide the overseas Chinese to take care of the overall situation, insist on “non-essential, non-urgent, and non-travel”, based on local epidemic prevention and anti-epidemic.
