MANAGEMENT. An 11-year-old boy was seriously injured this morning, September 26, in Gesturi while playing football in a soccer field of the municipal sports facilities. The crossbar of a door fell on his head, causing a head injury and suspected concussion.
The 118 helicopter rescue took him to the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari in the pediatric neurosurgery ward. The child lost consciousness and when he recovered he did not remember anything of what had happened and of the previous moments. His condition improved during the day, but he will have to be under close medical observation for at least 48 hours during which he will be constantly monitored.(l.on)
