The first aid point in the seaside resort is open, and a vaccination center will be set up on 22 and 23 June
LIGNANO. After particularly strenuous efforts conducted this year to be able to find the necessary medical staff, who have been on the front line to deal with the pandemic for over a year, the first intervention point in Lignano Sabbiadoro this morning, Saturday 12 June, was opened. The 2021 bathing season, the second at the time of the coronavirus, will be inaugurated tomorrow (at 11 in Terrazza a mare) and will be in the name of safety.
In addition to having activated the structure in via Tarvisio, in fact, the Region has managed to find the solution to make the tourist medical guard operational, “which will be present in Lignano starting next week”.
This was announced by the vice president of the Fvg Region Riccardo Riccardi, present for the ribbon cutting – symbolic – of the first intervention point of the locality together with the mayor Luca Fanotto and the general manager of the AsuFc healthcare company Denis Caporale. In addition, the regional councilors Maddalena Spagnolo and Mauro Bordin also participated.
The Region has announced that it will aim for mass vaccinations, in the summer period, in the main tourist resorts such as Lignano, Grado and Tarvisio.
But the news does not end like this. The maritime city will also participate in the vaccination campaign: on 22 and 23 June in the municipal gym of Lignano (located next to the Teghil stadium, in Viale Europa) a center for the administration of vaccines will be set up. A total of a thousand doses will be inoculated for this first two-day period.
The satisfaction of the mayor of Lignano with the results achieved is great: “I am aware of the burden that the health and nursing staff are taking on and, therefore, I am aware of the difficulties involved in recruiting the units to make the point of first intervention. The achieved goal gives the municipal administration the maximum satisfaction. The service – continues Fanotto – is fundamental for the tourist offer of the locality “. “I thank Caporale and all those who are committed and have allowed this result, in health these things are not taken for granted – said Vice President Riccardi -. Our task was to allow this city to open – formally – the season in a safe way tomorrow: my task was to create the conditions for this to happen ”.
