Public information shows that Chen Sanxin was born in November 1957 in Yongzhou, Hunan. He has worked in the Geological Bureau, Geology and Minerals Department, and Land and Resources Department of Hunan Province for a long time. He was appointed Director of the Provincial Land and Resources Department in August 2006. In January 2010, he was transferred to the secretary of the Xiangtan Municipal Party Committee, and in March 2016 he was appointed as the deputy secretary-general of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
In May 2018, Chen Sanxin was investigated and was expelled from the party public office in August. Chen Sanxin was accused of violating political discipline, colluding, transferring and concealing property, and confronting censorship while serving as party secretary and director of the Hunan Provincial Department of Land and Resources, secretary of the Xiangtan Municipal Party Committee, and director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress; Projects, seeking huge profits; corrupted morals, maintaining improper sexual relations with female subordinates for a long time, and engaging in power and money transactions; using the convenience of the position to seek benefits for others in undertaking mineral evaluations, and accept them alone or in cooperation with others Huge amount of property, suspected of taking bribes.
In December 2018, Chen Sanxin was sentenced to 11 years in prison for accepting bribes and fined 1.5 million yuan. His wife and daughter were also involved and were dealt with in another case.
Those who bribed Chen Sanxin were also punished by law. In November 2019, Chen Xi was sentenced to 16 years in prison and fined 5.5 million yuan for committing bribery and accepting bribes.
In January 2019, Chen Xinping was sentenced to 2 years in prison, suspended for 2 years, and fined 200,000 yuan for the crime of bribery.
