UDINE. The nightmare of contracting the virus and the fear of the possible side effects of the Covid vaccine made the life of Giuseppina Tomasin, 57, from Udine, hell.

She, who works as a fruit seller in via Volontari della Libertà, had fallen into a sort of cul-de-sac and had it not been for Professor Carlo Tascini, the infectious disease specialist and director of the Infectious Diseases Clinic of the Central Friuli University Health Authority, Giuseppina would never have been vaccinated.
