“The Green Pass is not needed in fast food restaurants, it is American territory”: the hoax goes viral and the network goes wild

by admin

“I confirm! You don’t need green passes in fast food restaurants like Mc Donald’s Burger King Starbucks etc… they are considered American territory ». This is the comment that has been making the rounds of social media for a few hours, finding a trail of understandably ironic reactions but also answers from those who (incredibly) believe that the news is true. In reality it is not even a fake news but a sort of “trolled” to make on the one hand a side to the no pass theories and on the other to provoke on such a hot topic.

To relaunch the screenshot of the sentence with profile photo and author’s name duly obscured was the digital satire page among the most followed with over 400,000 followers, or “Abolition of universal suffrage that proposed it by adding his comment: “And if you are born on a McDonald’s table, you automatically have American citizenship!”

The reactions

The jokes chasing each other on both Facebook and Twitter are of the same tenor. There are those who point out, referring to another issue that is being seriously discussed, in this case transposed with accentuated irony: “Among other things, being American territory, the Ius soli is in force, therefore, if by chance your child born inside a McDonald’s or Burger King, it would acquire American citizenship. Think people think”.

Then there are those who add: “You don’t need a green pass but a passport”. And who points out:

“For a Big Mac you need a green card.” And again: “How many times have I been to the States without my knowledge.” By attributing to fast food “characteristics of new embassies, as ambassadors of food.” There are also those who are surprised to say that they asked him for the green card and he is almost outraged at not having used the opportunity in a place considered extraterritorial because he believes that message is true.

The red dot

It is not the first time that the American chain has ended up in the crosshairs of no-passes. A few days ago another hoax began to run, also this widespread via social network and considered credible by various proponents of the so-called conspiracy theories. Born from a video on Tik Tok and relaunched on Twitter, it signaled the existence of a stamp to indicate customers without certification and thus discriminate against them.

“At McDonald’s, if you are not vaccinated, they report you in front of everyone with a red dot on the place card above the table. It seems to be back in Nazi Germany, instead we are in the Italy of Mario Draghi and Roberto Speranza. History repeats itself »tweets Radio Savana.

A comment for all deflates the imaginative theory: «Here the only one that should be reported is who manages this account. Even those who don’t go there know that that is the table service sticker ».
