TREVISO. It reopens its doors today, Tuesday 22 June, and brings back to life the original sign which dates back to 1927. After a short period of closure, which lasted no more than a couple of weeks, the Casellato bakery-pastry shop reopens to the public this morning. viale Felissent, in Santa Maria del Rovere.

The most curious thing is that by renovating the premises, behind the most recent sign, the ancient one was discovered, which evidently had been covered over time, engraved in the wall, which dates back to the year the bakery was opened. Venetian restorers have been called, who have brought it to the ancient glories of the past.

The shop was opened in 1927 by Vittorio Casellato, the owner’s grandfather. Roberto Piovesan, who already worked there, took over it in 2003 from his daughter, Rosella Casellato, and this year he decided to make it shine again through a restyling of the interiors: new furniture, modernized shop maintaining the classic bakery- pastry. The team includes Silvia Caner, behind the counter, Tiliana Paccagnan and Tullio de Marchi, the baker. The works carried out by the architect Stefano Roccamo in collaboration with Luciano Piovesan and his partner Arianna Friscina. Today pastries and bubbles to toast.
