Angelo Marasca confirmed, his wife in opposition «We were afraid of not exceeding the quorum. There is harmony “

LUSIGLIÈ

The husband – mayor sitting in the majority and the wife, counselor on the benches of the minority to lead the opposition: facing each other more or less the same age, same profession (teachers) but not rivals, indeed animated by one collaborative spirit in the private sphere and now also in the public one.

It happens in the small Lusigliè (560 inhabitants) that last week returned the chair of mayor to Angelo Marasca.

Mayor for the third term elected with 91.60%. A triumph. However, there was the risk of not reaching the quorum in case of only one list is (in that circumstance it is necessary to exceed 40% of the voters: in the end 56.4% was obtained, ed), as predicted on the eve of the election. “And then to find ourselves with a commissioner appointed by the prefect. Hence – confesses Marasca – the push to build a second list. Some people were available, but there was no candidate to present himself as mayor: too many responsibilities. And few gains. My wife Monica Bertuzzi offered herself with the We together list. But in fact the country will be ruled by a single color. We are in full harmony with my wife and so it will also be with regard to administrative life. However, there will be a comparison with her and with the other two minority directors Laura Mazzocchi and Bartolomeo Binando. Even if Lusigliè is a small town, proposals to improve and to continue growing are indispensable ».

However, among the first actions, Angelo Marasca thinks of setting up a group of volunteers who will put themselves at the service of the country to offer additional services. Meanwhile, the excellent result obtained in the administrative offices is enjoyed: “It was the best of the last twenty years – says Marasca – and for this I thank the people who have renewed their trust in me”.

Marasca’s wife, Monica Bertuzzi, had only obtained 20 votes, equal to 8.40%. A result that was expected since it was a strategy agreed at the table. The council meeting that will see the oath of the reconfirmed mayor and the official entry of the elected councilor candidates is already set for 21 next Wednesday 13 October.

In the new parliament there will be next to the mayor, Jacopo Marasea, Claudia Capello, Giorgia Marzolla, Damiano Xavier Marasca, Mattia Toscana, Michele Urietti, Luca Mario Nicolino, for the majority, Monica Bertuzzi, who will be the minority group leader, Laura Mazzocchi and Bartolomeo Binando. –
