A few hours before Li Yundi’s accident, the Hunan Satellite TV variety show “Brother Through the Thorns” he was participating in was exposed by netizens, and Li Yundi’s footage was cut or coded. But soon after, someone discovered that Li Yundi’s shot was restored.
At noon on the 21st, Li Yundi’s personal Weibo account was still promoting the show.
The mainland “Red Star News” reported at around 9:30 p.m. on the 21st that Li Yundi’s family and the program group of “Brother Overcoming Troubles” did not respond temporarily.
Born in 1982, Li Yundi was designated by the Ministry of Culture of the Communist Party of China to participate in the 14th Chopin International Piano Competition in 2000 and won the gold medal, becoming the youngest winner in the history of the competition. After returning to China at the end of the game, Li Yundi was once promoted by the Chinese Communist Party.
