BELLUNO. Luciani blessed after the summer, certainly by the end of 2022. Pope Francis confided this to Roberto Padrin. The president of the Province of Belluno, on the morning of Wednesday 15 December, was in audience with the Pope in the Vatican. “Pope Francis has confirmed to me that the proclamation will take place by 2022, after the summer,” explains President Padrin. “The precise date is being defined and the ceremony will take place in Rome”.

Pope Francis during the audience had talked about Christmas and had focused on the concept of tenderness. “I was very struck by a passage in which the pontiff linked tenderness to love”, comments President Padrin. «Tenderness is born of love, said the Pope, who wished those present to be messengers of peace, hope and tenderness. I saw in these words a connection with our Pope Luciani, who for us Belluno, but not only, was and still is a symbol of tenderness and simplicity. That tenderness that filled our hearts when we had the confirmation of the beatification and which will be complete in a few months.
