A postponement that, however, is solicited by the order of the Doctors of Turin: “The evolution of the Covid epidemic, in particular the very high numbers of infections, the impossibility of carrying out swabs in adequate quantities, the low vaccination of children, the increase in hospitalizations make it absolutely imprudent to restart school activities “. Therefore, “every effort should be made to postpone the reopening of primary and secondary schools for two weeks. The lost days can be made up for in June ».
Guido Giustetto, the president of the Order, explains: “The situation is such that within a few days many classes will go into dad anyway, with all the consequences in terms of burden on the system but above all from the health point of view: children who become infected put their health at risk, as emerges from the increase in pediatric hospitalizations for Covid, and bring the infection into the home, contributing to a further increase in cases “.
