The Province wins the announcement of the PNRR: a whole new Negrelli with 16 million

The building has too many problems and must be demolished, but it can be used until the construction of the future institute

FELT. Itis Negrelli-Forcellini will be reborn more structurally secure, less energy-intensive and with adequate spaces for students. All thanks to a loan that is close to 16 million euros – 15.9 million to be precise – that the Province was awarded through the Pnrr, the National Recovery and Resilience Plan of the Government which will allow the demolition and reconstruction from scratch of the institute. Or rather, the area is vast and will allow the construction of the new school before proceeding with the demolition of the old structure. “In this way you avoid inconvenience to students and school staff, also simplifying any logistical movements as much as possible”, underlines Lucia Da Rold, vice president of the Province with responsibility for school construction.

THE NOTICE

The quality of the proposal was appreciated by the ministerial commission and the intervention was fully funded. At the regional level, only two projects have been financed to the Provinces and that of Negrelli-Forcellini is the most substantial. «We had to dare and we did it. It was a difficult and complex application, but we achieved an exceptional result. Our project idea turned out to be among the most important at the regional level, thanks to the commitment and determination of the team of young technicians coordinated by the manager Wanda Antoniazzi », says vice president Da Rold. “Now we await the other calls for the schools in which we have competed.”

THE DESIGN IDEA

The current structure presents some problems that are difficult to solve through a redevelopment of the existing one: the lack of classrooms, the absence of the lecture theater, important critical issues in terms of energy consumption and significant costs of seismic and regulatory adaptation. To intervene on the current buildings would cost too much and would require a very long time, in the order of four or five years of construction. Therefore the path of demolition and reconstruction was chosen.

NEXT STEPS

The Pnrr announcement sets the conclusion of the works by spring 2026. The process now includes a competition launched directly by the Ministry of Education for the preparation of the project. The winner will be entrusted with the definitive design of the intervention, then the work will be contracted out. “Our offices expect to start the works by 2024, to complete the operation in the course of 2025”, explains Lucia Da Rold.

Thanks to the employees of the sector that deals with school construction, the President of the Province, Roberto Padrin, is keen to do so: «This result is thanks to their commitment. And thanks also to the support in the application phase of the school building task force », he adds. «The requalification of schools is essential to guarantee an adequate level of education and a high quality of life and study for our children and teachers. This is why we are confidently awaiting the results of the other PNRR calls in which we have participated ”, relaunches Padrin. «I am also satisfied with the financing of the project relating to the school town of Longarone, the first in Veneto as regards the candidacies of the Municipalities, for a total of 7.6 million euros. It is the demonstration that our territory knows how to work very well, with interesting prospects for services to the citizen ».
