Heavy Rain Expected in Guangdong for the Next Three Days

The China Weather Network has reported that Guangdong will experience rainy weather for the next three days, lasting from February 29 to March 2. Heavy rain is expected in parts of northern Guangdong and other areas, leading to a damp and chilly atmosphere. Residents are advised to prepare for the wet conditions and stay warm. Additionally, strong winds of magnitude 6 to 8 with gusts up to magnitude 9 are forecasted in the region, urging caution for those engaging in offshore activities.

Today, central and northern Guangdong will be under a blanket of rain, accompanied by a drop in temperature. As of 2:00 PM in the afternoon, temperatures ranged from 6 to 11°C, with the largest decrease noted in Dabu at 13°C lower compared to the same time yesterday.

Looking ahead, the next three days will bring continued rain to Guangdong, particularly in the central and northern areas where the weather will remain cold. The forecast indicates light to moderate rain, and locally heavy rain in the northern regions such as Zhaoqing and parts of northern Guangdong, with potential freezing conditions in high-altitude mountainous areas. Meanwhile, other cities and counties can expect light rain. Temperature lows will range from 2℃ to 6℃ in particular areas, with slightly warmer conditions in the southern coastal regions.

On March 3, western parts of Guangdong are expected to be cloudy with light rain in certain areas, while the rest of the region will experience a mix of clouds and sunshine. Temperatures will vary accordingly, with colder conditions in the north and warmer weather in the south.

The public is urged to take precautions against the cold and wet weather, ensuring proper heating measures are in place. Road safety should also be a priority due to slippery conditions, low visibility, and potential hazards caused by rainfall. Those working at sea should be cautious of the strong winds and take necessary safety measures for offshore operations.
