The Region evaluates the reorganization of the offices in the area

A working group in charge of finding solutions for merging, decommissioning and redistributing offices and departments

Disposal, merger, recovery, redistribution: these are the keywords of the hypothesis of reorganization of the properties that the Region is using as institutional headquarters.

Today the regional offices are scattered a little here and a little there. In Piazza Deffeyes there is the main office, but some councils and various departments are located elsewhere, some in Aosta and others outside the regional capital. Some offices are rented despite the Administration having buildings that are not in use, other offices have high management costs that could be reduced with more prudent management. And then there is the novelty of agile work which, at least for some services, could be maintained even once the health emergency is over.

With a resolution approved on Monday, the regional council decided to activate a working group made up of managers and coordinators to propose solutions for the logistical reorganization of the offices and the reduction of costs incurred by the public coffers. There is no talk of creating a single new headquarters as had been assumed in the past, but of making better use of regional properties by redistributing the offices based on the type of user, merging structures where possible, disposing of unnecessary leases. A result that can be achieved, for example, by eliminating individual offices (excluding those of managers), increasing employee coworking stations and resorting to greater sharing of spaces and meeting rooms.

The working group will have until 31 December to present the report on the reorganization of the offices complete with an estimate of costs and implementation times.
