According to the official report of the Shanghai Metro,On July 25, under the influence of the typhoon “Fireworks” wind, part of the roof of the pedestrian bridge outside Xinzhuang Station of Shanghai Metro Line 1 was blown off, and the Shanghai-Kunming line contact net was broken.The subway station was closed earlier, and no one was injured at the scene.
After on-site disposal by professionals, the first stage of the emergency repair of the overpass roof has been completed, and the railway has been communicated to remove line obstacles to ensure the operation of the railway.
At the same time, the station has also strengthened the security measures for the passage, and the follow-up measures will be taken to deal with the remaining roof.
As of 19:30, the passenger flow of nearly 1.66 million Shanghai Metro’s entire network has dropped by nearly 72% compared to last Sunday, and all elevated ground sections of the current entire network are still suspended.
