The Syndicat invites the Regional Council to overcome the deadlock caused by the resignation of Councilor Minelli
AOSTA. In Valle d’Aosta “everything is needed except for yet another political crisis that compromises the activity of the regional administration due to yet another political crisis”. This was stated by the Savt board meeting today to examine the situation in the Region and the prospects for a restart.
The union asks “the political forces present in the Regional Council to find as soon as possible the necessary solutions to overcome the stalemate that has arisen following the resignation of Councilor Minelli and Councilor Guichardaz from the role of President of the Vth Council Commission “. There are “urgent issues that await answers and which cannot, for any reason, be postponed further”. Savt lists them: the law with the measures to support the economy “already overdue”, the resources allocated to the Aosta Valley by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, the designation of the regional components of the Joint Commission and, lastly, the reform of the regional electoral system.
«Only with a new model of election of the Council and of the regional government – says the Syndicat – will it be possible to guarantee the necessary political stability that is needed to govern. Only in that moment can the good of citizens be really put before personal ambitions which, in recent years, have led to continuous changes of majority and absolute instability and ungovernability.
