TOLMEZZO. It pn January, at 84, the Tolmezzo shoemaker, Pancrazio Nicolì, will retire. Pass the baton to a colleague from Paluzza.
Pancrazio arrived in the town, where he has lived ever since, at the age of 23, in 1960, when there were about ten shoemakers in Tolmezzo. Today there is only him.
Since 1985, his shop has been located in the ancient heart of the city, in via Giovanni da Tolmezzo and is the longest-running company in that slightly magical segment of old Tolmezzo.
