The “super principal” retires: Maurizio Driol has managed 29 schools

SEAT. The “super principal” Maurizio Driol, 64, has been in school for 45 years and 31 of which spent in a managerial career, is retiring. He had already risen to the honors of the national news for having held the Italian record, in 2017, for managing 29 institutes in 11 different municipalities, with 3,200 students and 450 teachers.

Until 31 August, Driol will hold the role of school director of the inclusive Institute of Sedegliano, which with the training offer includes the nursery, elementary and middle schools of five municipalities (Basiliano, Flaibano, Coseano, Mereto di Tomba and Sedegliano) .

“Born for school”, this is how the principal Driol could be defined, who leaves a great void in the school world, loved and respected by all, a tireless worker with Saturdays and Sundays locked in his office. Driol is one of the last leaders of his generation who has always placed the student at the center of his “mission”. And it is precisely when he enters to greet the children in the classrooms that all his love for them emerges, connecting with the complicated emotional world of the students.

A man who loves art and music, as well as scientific, literary, technological and motor disciplines, which he has always supported with his passion.

He is highly appreciated by both the teaching staff and his students, who have always respected and esteemed him so much that they dedicated a particular greeting concert to him. The “super principal” Driol was moved by the event, offered by the students of the secondary school of Basiliano, an excellence that counts important prizes and recognitions.
