Change at the top of the Carabinieri Group of Aosta. After two years, Colonel Carlo Lecca left the Valley to lead the provincial command of Ancona. Lieutenant Colonel Giovanni Cuccurullo, coming from the Center of Excellence for Stability Police Units (CoESPU) of Vicenza, arrived in his place in the “Alessi” barracks in the Aosta Valley capital.
Originally from Campania, 51 years old, married and with one daughter, ten. with the. Cuccurullo has a degree in Law and Security Sciences. Enlisted in the Army as a non-commissioned officer in ’91, after some experiences in Sardinia, in Sulcis, in 1995 he entered the Military Academy of Modena and then the Officers School of the Carabinieri. Subsequently, he was assigned to the 12th “Sicily” Carabinieri Battalion of Palermo, after a year, he began his career in the territorial weapon, first under the command of the Operational Unit of the Palermo San Lorenzo Company then of the San Marco Argentano Company in Province of Cosenza, then that of Perugia and the Operational Department of the Provincial Command of Trento. Then, to take advantage of the experience gained, the assignment to COeSPU, as assistant to the chair of Stability Policing & Stability Policy Units.
