On May 18, at the main venue of the “May 18 International Museum Day” event held in Wuhan, the top ten exhibitions of national museums in 2021 were announced. Zhejiang was shortlisted for 5 projects, one of which won the Excellence Award.

Ningbo Fenghua District Museum “Symphony of Mountains and Seas – Fenghua History and Civilization Exhibition” won the national top ten exhibition exhibition awards for museums, and is the only county-level museum in the country to receive this honor in 2021. So far, Zhejiang has won the top ten exhibition awards in national museums for seven consecutive years.

On the same day, Zhejiang Provincial Museum was selected as the “National Most Innovative Museum” in 2022, and only three museums in the country have won this honor this year. Since the selection in 2014, 4 museums in Zhejiang have won this honor, becoming the province with the most selections.

In recent years, our province has focused on cultural creativity, cultural productivity, cultural communication, and cultural influence, and strives to make the cultural relics in the museum “live”. Up to now, the province has registered 420 museums of all levels and types, ranking second in the country; in 2021 alone, more than 2,500 exhibitions of various types will be held in the province, with more than 38 million visitors.
