TAVAGNACCO. A man was found, lifeless, in Cavalicco, a hamlet of Tavagnacco. The body was charred in the vicinity of a burnt tractor.
The incident took place after 3 pm on Sunday, October 17, in via Prà d’Attimis. The firefighters and the police intervened on the spot.
The victim was called Dante Battistig, he was 75 years old and was a resident of Tavagnacco. According to initial information, the man was carrying out maintenance work on his tractor when, for reasons yet to be ascertained, the vehicle caught fire.
Battistig tried to put out the flames but unfortunately got involved in the fire. His body was found a few meters from the tractor.
