[New Tang Dynasty Beijing August 30, 2021]The spokesperson of the Chinese Communist Party’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Wang Wenbin, revealed on August 30 that the United States recently repatriated three Chinese students who had military training photos in their mobile phones. The United States suspected that they had military background and were deported. .

Wang Wenbin presided over a regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 30th. A reporter asked whether three Chinese students were deported by the U.S. when they entered the Houston Airport on August 15. Informed?

Wang Wenbin responded that the U.S. determined that the three Chinese students were funded by the CCP government and found military training photos in their mobile phones. They were suspected of having military background and were therefore deported.

Earlier, on July 6, Zhao Lijian, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Communist Party of China, said at a press conference that more than 500 Chinese science and engineering graduate students were denied visas when they applied for student visas to the United States.

According to the Chinese Communist Party’s official media “China Daily”, most of these international students are studying in core science and technology majors such as electrical and electronic engineering, computers, mechanics, and biomedicine. Admission institutions include Harvard University, Yale University, University of California at Berkeley, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and other top universities in the world. About 125 students have received US scholarships.

A Chinese student named Moody Kim who is studying for a PhD at Purdue University in the United States told Radio Free Asia that the rejection of these students’ visa applications was expected.

“What is the background of these 500 people, we have not yet understood in detail. As far as I know, a policy issued by the U.S. government is still specific, and it is not about killing a boat with a single stick. I believe these 500 people must have been discovered by the visa officer. What happened.” For security reasons, the Chinese student was unwilling to accept interviews under his real name.

During the former US government, an administrative order was issued on May 29, 2020 to suspend and restrict the issuance of visas for Chinese students, visiting scholars, and researchers with military-civilian integration backgrounds. The Biden administration continues this policy.

In September last year, the United States revoked the visas of more than 1,000 Chinese citizens in the United States who were “hidden to security” on the grounds of “preventing the theft and other misappropriation of sensitive research.” Most of these people have the background of studying and researching in the “Seven National Defense” colleges of the Chinese Communist Party, or are funded by the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC).

“China (the Communist Party) uses overseas students to study, and even illegally transfers technologies that can be militarized.” Gu Yi, an international student at the University of Georgia in the United States and director of the Confederation of Aesthetics, said that this is an official policy of the Chinese Communist Party.

Gu Yi believes that the Biden administration prevents the Chinese Communist government from using foreign students to undermine the national security of the United States. “This is what every U.S. government must do.”

According to data from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Bureau, more than 1 million overseas students go to the United States every year, and Chinese students account for about 30%.
