More operators and technical improvements to answer the thousands of emails and phone calls received every day

AOSTA. The Aosta Valley Local Health Authority will enhance the InfoVaccini – InfoTamponi service which in the last period has been overwhelmed by phone calls and e-mails from the Aosta Valley residents. The healthcare company will increase the number of employees and at the same time activate logistical and technical improvements.

“Aware of the long telephone waits, also due to the fact that the vaccination campaign is in full swing and that the high number of bookings and vaccinations places Valle d’Aosta among the first places in Italy, the Local Health Authority is activating useful actions to contain, as far as possible, the inconvenience “, says the general manager of the USL, Angelo Michele Pescarmona.

The approximately twenty operators assigned to the service, divided into two shifts, are responding to a daily average of 4,000 calls and 800 e-mails. On April 1st, the peak of contacts with 10,600 calls arrived at the service. However, not all requests received are the responsibility of the InfoVaccini – InfoTamponi service. Operators provide information on reserving vaccines and tampons, but do not respond to health-related questions. For this type of information, you can consult the internet portal of the USL which has dedicated a faq section to health issues or contact your doctor.
