It is during the landscape restoration of the castle wood that Fai, comparing the papers found among the 25 thousand volumes of the library and the historical archive, discovered the existence of a vineyard that belonged to the Valperga Counts, a thousand years ago. One hectare of terraced land adjacent to the walls, located inside a sort of basin under which the panoramic view of Vestignè opens up, a particularly sunny background facing south west, towards Turin.
