The woman missing in Ceresole Reale on the Nivolet hill was found dead

The body of the hiker was identified during the reconnaissance operations at high altitude. The recovery of the body is still in progress

REAL CERESOLE. A woman is missing near the Nivolet hill in Ceresole Reale. Two mountain rescue teams from the Valle Orco station set off in search of the woman, born in 1991, from Turin dispersed on the hill. The hiker’s car has been reported since Sunday evening. The first team of eight began the search on foot from the car park, while the second team is aboard a helicopter making a patrol rotation. The carabinieri and a canine unit for surface research and a molecular dog unit also take part in the research. The body of the hiker was identified during the reconnaissance operations at high altitude under the tip of the Gran Vaudala Nord, from which she probably fell. Recovery operations by the fire brigade helicopter are still in progress.
