“Theaters, cinemas and concert halls are safe places.” This is what the Minister of Culture, Dario Franceschini underlined, during the hearing before the CTS, the Technical Scientific Committee, on anti-Covid measures. Franceschini asked the CTS to “evaluate the possibility of overcoming the interpersonal distancing measures and the current capacity limits, maintaining the obligation to have a green pass and to wear a mask for the duration of the shows”.
For some time, the Minister of Cutura has been in favor of revising the capacity limits for places of culture, especially for areas in the white zone. The goal is to exceed the ceiling by 50% both outdoors and indoors. In the parliamentary question time held yesterday in the Chamber, Franceschini had anticipated the issues on the agenda on the CTS table. The Committee will therefore be called upon to comment on the next measures that will affect the culture sector.
“In the last decree law we have foreseen that there will be an opinion on this by 30 September”, Franceschini continued, specifying that, in any case, the decision that will be reached will be taken in a collegial way and supported by scientific bases.
