TREVISO. Ice cream at risk in summer 2022: milk is no longer available, further increases of 20% are on the way. Riccardo Zanchetta, president of Fida-Confcommercio Treviso (the food retailers), raises the alarm: «Some raw materials are already lacking. In the dairy sector, milk is starting to run short: large chains of ice cream parlors or renowned dairies this summer will struggle to guarantee supplies. Ditto for wheat or certain pieces of meat ».
