Heavy Rainfall Expected in Northern Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta in the Next Three Days

The China Weather Network has issued a warning for heavy rainfall in northern Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta region over the next three days. The forecast predicts heavy rain in some areas starting tomorrow and continuing through the day after tomorrow.

According to the weather report, a combination of cold air, shear lines, and high-altitude troughs will bring continuous heavy rains to cities and counties in northern Guangdong and the northern Pearl River Delta. Some areas may experience heavy rainstorms, local extremely heavy rainstorms, and strong convective weather such as thunderstorms and strong winds.

Residents are advised to exercise caution and pay attention to traffic safety, especially during the upcoming Tomb Sweeping Day holiday.

Yesterday, most of Guangdong experienced cloudy weather with some rain in the northern regions. Temperatures reached as high as 38.1°C in Leizhou, making it a hot day across the province.

In the coming days, Shaoguan, Qingyuan, Zhaoqing, and Yunfu are expected to see moderate to severe thunderstorms and local heavy rains in the afternoon. Other cities and counties in the region may also experience scattered thundershowers.

Guangzhou and Shenzhen will also see cloudy weather with thundershowers and occasional heavy rain. Temperatures will range from 24°C to 31°C with southerly winds in Shenzhen.

As the Tomb Sweeping Day holiday approaches, the Meteorological Department urges the public to stay updated on weather forecasts and warnings, especially in areas experiencing heavy rainfall and strong convective weather. It is essential to take precautions for rain, lightning protection, and ensuring traffic safety during outdoor activities.

For further weather updates, residents can check the “China Weather Network” WeChat official account, “China Weather” Weibo, and “China Weather” Douyin. Stay informed and stay safe during the upcoming rainy days in Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta.
