They dirty the baths with feces, the alternate scolded them: condemned after the parents’ complaint

The story of a teacher working in the comprehensive school of Fornovo di Taro (Parma) denounced by the pupils’ parents has come to trial in court after more than four years.

The alternate was sentenced to one month and 20 days in prison (with the benefit of probation and no mention) “simply because she behaved as any sensible adult would do: after a school worker complained that bathrooms had been smeared with feces, the teacher, as her duty, scolded the boys who at the time attended a fifth grade of primary school at the comprehensive school of Fornovo Taro where the poor woman had been ‘unfortunately’ called for a few hours of substitute ” , says the union Gilda degli Teachers of Parma and Piacenza, through its coordinator Salvatore Pizzo.

“After the references made to the schoolchildren, some parents, instead of asking the teacher for an appointment and thanking her, also denounced her. accusation (prosecutor Massimiliano Sicilia) nor asked for acquittal in the face of the evident criminal irrelevance of the dispute, the judge was not of the same opinion “,

The trial versions, however, do not coincide: the teacher claims to have limited herself to calling the pupils to order, threatening to contact the headmaster.

Some fifth grade primary school children, however, tearfully told their parents that they had been showered with insults.

Hence the denunciation of the families and the trial for “abuse of means of correction”. And if the representative of the public prosecution asked for the teacher’s acquittal “because the fact does not exist”, according to the judge the teacher exaggerated in reprimanding the pupils.

The union points out that “no one has acted for the obvious ‘fault in educating’ against the parents”.
