Wang Wenbin said that on August 15, when three Chinese students entered the Houston airport with legal visas, they were interrogated by the US and sent back to China.The reason is that the three were funded by the Chinese government or found military training photos in their personal mobile phones, so they are suspected of having military background. China is strongly dissatisfied and resolutely opposed to this, and has lodged solemn representations with the US in this regard.
Wang Wenbin pointed out that the U.S. repatriation of Chinese students under the pretense of pretentious and even absurd excuses has severely damaged the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese students studying in the United States and severely undermined the normal cultural exchanges and educational cooperation between China and the United States.
