Traffic Control Implemented in Exhibition Hall Area During Canton Fair

The upcoming 135th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, will see the implementation of traffic control measures in the exhibition hall area, as reported by the Guangzhou Municipal Public Security and Traffic Police Department. The fair is scheduled to take place at the Canton Fair Complex from April 15 to May 5, 2024.

During this period, traffic control will be enforced in the Canton Fair exhibition hall areas A, B, C, and D. Only vehicles with Canton Fair vehicle licenses will be allowed entry, while all other vehicles will be prohibited. Passing vehicles are advised to pay attention to traffic signs and follow the instructions of police officers on-site.

Analysis indicates that the daily entry peak at the fair is expected to be from 8:30 to 10:00, with the daily exit peak occurring between 17:30 and 19:00. Increased traffic flow is anticipated at key intersections such as Huakuai Xinzhou entrance, Xingangdong Convention and Exhibition East Intersection, Keyun Road and Pazhou Avenue East, and Yuejiang Road Huizhan East Intersection. Motorists are advised to take alternate routes and exercise caution while passing through these areas.

Parking around the exhibition hall is limited, prompting organizers to encourage the use of public transportation, route planning in advance, and travel during off-peak hours to alleviate congestion.

To ensure the smooth flow of traffic, the Guangzhou Traffic Police have developed a comprehensive work plan that takes into account factors such as road network structure, traffic flow, parking facilities, and road construction activities around the fair venue. Police forces will be deployed strategically at various points, lines, and areas to manage traffic security and facilitate safe entry and exit for both vehicles and pedestrians.

With the goal of ensuring a safe and orderly experience for all attendees, the police will be stationed at entrances and exits, as well as at important road sections, to swiftly respond to any emergencies, accidents, or breakdowns that may occur during the fair.
