TREVISO. As was to be expected, chaos happened today when the Serena middle school students from Treviso left. With hundreds of parents waiting for as many children. The reason? Schoolchildren will be able to go home from school only if accompanied by their parents (or their delegates), from primary to middle school at least in the first week of school at the Comprehensive Serena institute.
Parents and teachers are furious: at least the middle school kids are used to going home alone. Yet the first circular of the new headmaster Alessia Quadrini speaks clearly by interpreting the legislation on the subject in an apparently rigid way: families are asked to send by this Wednesday to the janitors of the institute’s reference complexes the forms to allow the autonomous exit of the children, in the absence of which the pupils will be able to leave the school, after the last bell, only if they are taken care of by their parents or their delegates.
And therefore, in fact, at least until next Friday, the students of the Comprensivo Serena will be able to leave the school walls only if they find their parents at the exit. And only from Monday 20 will they be able to go home independently, if in the meantime the authorization model is delivered to the school. And the families were only informed at the end of last week, of the crackdown.
The Comprehensive course led by the principal Quadrini includes Serena middle school and four elementary schools: De Amicis, Azzoni, Gabelli and Giovanni XXIII.
