TREVISO. Effects of the Covid era on incomes: Treviso taxpayers drop by 2.33% with returns over 25 thousand euros, growing impoverishment and negative peaks among the forty-year-olds. Alarming data that open a gap on the economic impact of the health emergency: Cgil Veneto and Sistema Caaf estimate on average the loss of income for Veneto workers at 2.5%. “Waiting to draw conclusions at the end of September, these first surveys confirm a worrying trend, already denounced several times by the union”, remarks Monica Giomo, managing director of Caaf Cgil Treviso, “The calculations on the 730 models clearly show the loss of income caused from the health emergency and the consequent precariousness. A general decline in incomes and an impoverishment of the working-age population which is further confirmed by the amount of ISEE applications processed by our branches since January 2021. Just think that as of June 30th they have already reached 23,000 ”.
