The residential agency has closed the confrontation with the remaining residents. Dal Zilio: “By the end of the year I’m moving for everyone”
TREVISO. Last week the Treviso Ater concluded face-to-face discussions with each of the thirty families who still reside in the historic popular residential area between via Feltrina and via Castagnole. Meetings in which the new president Ater Mauro Dal Zilio also participated and which served to dictate to the families the time schedule for their move.
The common goal is to find a solution for all the nuclei by October and November, because the goal to be achieved is to see the entire popular district emptied by the end of the year.
“They were frank, clear, absolutely serene comparisons” specific for the Treviso Ater Dal Zilio, “The reasons for the move, which is inevitable, were explained to all the remaining families, and the various possibilities for their transfer were discussed making it clear to everyone that it will be an agreement aimed at responding to their needs, but on the basis of Ater’s availability ».
The social department of the Municipality of Treviso also took part in the comparisons because it is likely that perhaps temporary help will also be needed to find all the buildings necessary to quickly empty the 11 buildings on the border of the San Liberale district.
However, the time schedule of the regional agency for residential construction, Ater, is clear: by the end of the year the families will move and in spring the construction site will start for the scientific demolition of the 11 buildings built in the 1950s.
Ater has already assigned the executive design of the yard; he does not want to waste time and cannot do it since most of the investment is financed by Cipe and European funds, therefore at maturity. The project, according to the new municipal legislation, will also have to pass the scrutiny of the Municipality of Treviso to have the authorization for the demolition of the buildings since these are buildings from the early 1900s included in the list of assets to be protected that the Municipality has recently bound by imposing that every construction site that concerns them passes the political scrutiny.
There should be no problems, given that the mayor Conte himself has already promoted the intervention by inserting it in his maxi project for the redevelopment of San Liberale, but it will be one more step. This is facilitated by the fact that the reconstruction will take place according to modern ecological and construction standards.
“It will not be a demolition tout court” explains Dal Zilio, “but an operation aimed at finding through the demolitions part of the material that will be used for the new buildings”. There are expected about 160 new apartments (today 88, 50 vacant) with the highest ecological standard and marked by the much requested social housing.
