TRIESTE – A 17-year-old boy, Robert Trajkovich was found dead Saturday evening in a building in the center of Trieste, in via Rittmayer 13. The victim is a Trieste-born of Serbian origin. According to the first investigative reconstructions, the young man was strangled with a lace by a 21-year-old of foreign origins, who confessed. The murder took place in the night between 7 and 8 January. In the background, as it turns out, futile reasons: the two were competing for a girl. Prosecutor Lucia Baldovin investigates the case.

The investigations, launched on Saturday afternoon by the Carabinieri operational unit, made it possible to identify the alleged perpetrator of the crime. The interrogation immediately ordered by the magistrate could not take place immediately because the young man accused an illness, so the authorities had to wait for the 21-year-old to be discharged from the hospital. After the confession, the young man was arrested and taken to prison.

The seventeen-year-old’s family yesterday made an appeal through the media and social media because the boy was missing. Then the dramatic epilogue with the discovery of the body in the atrium of the condominium.

The 21-year-old, according to information in possession of Republic, he would have had an accomplice, with whom he would have made an ambush to the victim, making her get into the car. Here the 17-year-old would have been strangled and then left in the basement of the condominium, used as a bed and breakfast, where the allegedly disputed girl, a 19-year-old, lives. Here the investigators found traces of blood.
